The Barbados-born pop star has been dating baseball player Matt Kemp since January and the pair are madly in love. Rihanna has now revealed she would love to have a family and even though she isn’t planning on getting pregnant at the moment, she hasn’t ruled out the possibility of being a mother soon.
"I don't really plan on the age. It could be a year from now. It could be 10 years from now. Whenever is right," Rihanna told the December issue of Interview. "I mean, I have a lot of other stuff to accomplish before I get to kids. Whenever the time is right, I'll just know."
The 22-year-old singer went on to reveal she would prefer to have a house full of sons rather than daughters, as she jokingly claimed her girls could be “rebellious” and “a bundle of karma”.
Even though Rihanna hopes to be a mother one day, she insists she is fully focused on her career for now. When she does decide to have a baby she would like to return to her home country and devote all her time to caring for her family.
"I would love to bring them up in Barbados. I can't live that far away from everything now, without kids,” Rihanna explained. “So I certainly couldn't raise kids and [have a career] with the demanding schedule that I have."
