The 22-year-old pop star is best known for her distinctive voice and quirky fashion sense, although she also boasts plenty of business acumen.
Rihanna has emerged as somewhat of an entrepreneur recently, launching her new company Rihanna Entertainment and working closely with rap mogul Jay-Z at Roc Nation Management.
The multi-talented singer is thrilled with her new career direction, and says she’s happy to take on responsibility.
"It feels so good, because the closer you are to your business, the clearer you are about a lot of things," she told MTV.
"And that responsibility doesn't feel like a burden. It feels like the right thing to do, and we just launched my new company Rihanna Entertainment, and I'm being managed by Roc Nation alongside of that. So I feel really good. It feels great to be home."
Rihanna’s latest album, entitled Loud, is set for release this month, and she feels it really captures her mood right now. The star thinks she has matured a great deal lately, so fans will notice a big development from her last album Rated R.
"A lot has — I won't say changed, but a lot has evolved since then," she explained. "A lot of growing up, a lot of responsibility in terms of taking control of my business and stuff like that."
