Rihanna thinks the public and the press have the wrong perception of her.
The Barbadian singer has taken part in many scantily clad photo shoots and is known for her love of her country's carnival.
But the 25-year-old has revealed she finds pleasure in much simpler things and is pretty chilled out.
"I think they think I'm drunk all the time. I think they think I am always partying, that my house is probably a party all the time with tons of people and tons of music and no clothes. I think that's what they think," she told USA Today. "I'm actually very laid back. I love watching TV on a big old couch by myself. I love to swim in the ocean or the pool."
The Stay singer certainly likes sharing pictures of herself in tiny bikinis on her social networking pages including Twitter and Instagram.
Her millions of followers idolise her but Rihanna admits she isn't comfortable with the title of 'role model'.
"I don't like to use that word because people have their own opinion on what that means to them," she said. "I can't really say I'm a role model. I'm not perfect. I'm not trying to sell that. I want people to have fun but be responsible, protect themselves and be in control of your life."
After ten years in the music business, Rihanna is used to people making judgements about her and what she gets up to.
This particularly applies to her tumultuous on-off relationship with Chris Brown, but Rihanna says people shouldn't be so quick to judge what they see.
"You can never judge people. I always made that a point," she said. "You never know what someone is going through."
