Rihanna: Katy wants me to wed

The Barbados-born pop star has been dating baseball player Matt Kemp since January and he has recently accompanied the 22-year-old on a trip to UK capital London.

Now the international celebrity has confessed that her close friend, American singer Katy Perry, has been putting pressure on her to wed after just 11 months of romance.

Katy married British comedian Russell Brand in a much-hyped ceremony in India last month, and now the I Kissed A Girl singer is so happy she wants Rihanna to follow in her footsteps. However Rihanna, who has churned out hits such as Russian Roulette and Umbrella, is not so hasty.

“Katy thinks I should get married now, but she needs to calm down on that one,” Rihanna told British magazine more! “I mean, one day, but not just yet – we’re having too much fun.”

The red-haired star admitted her 26-year-old partner is an asset to her, both personally and professionally.

Matt doesn’t hold back his opinions when it comes to her music, sometimes causing friction in the relationship.

“He’s my number one critic. I played him my new album Loud when it was done and in the most part he liked it, but we did argue about it too,” she said. “He likes the ballads.”
