Rihanna has termed her racy photoshoot with Kate Moss "a big deal".
The singer stars in a set of saucy images with the British supermodel for V magazine.
Last November snaps from the shoot were leaked on the internet after Rihanna's Instagram account was hacked.
The Barbadian beauty deleted the pictures when she realised what had happened, but says it proves how desirable they are.
"I was so bummed because I thought they were so sick. It goes to show how badly people wanted this cover. I guess it was as big a deal to them as it was to me!" Rihanna explained to V magazine. "We received requests from all over the world for the rights to reproduce the pics, but weren't ready to give them up or the story behind them, until now."
The pair first became acquainted in 2009 when they sat next to each other at the Met Gala. Rihanna was amazed when Kate asked to be photographed in with her.
"I was, like, Are you f**king kidding me?" Rihanna remembered. "I was so starstruck. I'm not going to lie."
Both girls are equally desirable to fashion magazines as well as gossip columns. While Kate has maintained an air of anonymity, Rihanna chooses to openly detail her life though Twitter. She no longer reads others' opinions of her as it would be overwhelming.
"I already have too many voices in my head right now! I don't have room for that other stuff. If I let that other stuff in, it'll take the space of productive sh*t, and that isn't good," she continued."[Have you ever tried to correct a rumour or remove things from the internet?] It wouldn't make a difference. There's nothing we can do about that. There will always be them, and there will always be me."
