Rihanna has reportedly lost a role in The Fast and the Furious 6 to Rita Ora.
The Barbadian singer was tipped for a villainous role in the popular action franchise, UK newspaper The Sun reports.
According to the publication, her pop rival Rita Ora has now nabbed the part.
Rita has reportedly been cast opposite Vin Diesel and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson for the project.
"They loved her look and her attitude," a source said.
According to reports, Rihanna's schedule was to blame.
The singer, who made her theatrical feature film debut in this year's Battleship, recently wrapped her jet set 777 tour and shows no signs of slowing down.
"Rihanna impressed movie bosses with her role in Battleship. But schedules didn't work out and Rita really shone during castings," the insider added.
A spokesperson for Rita has not yet commented on the role.
The apparent casting comes on the heels of reports Rihanna is upset about Rita copying her style.
A red gown the British singer wore at the MTV EMAs on November 11 was similar to Rihanna's crimson frock at the American Music Awards two years ago.
"Rihanna was furious when she spotted Rita Ora's dress for the VMAs, a rose gown that looked like one she wore in 2010," a source earlier told The Sun.
The singers were both signed by hip-hop music mogul Jay-Z.
The Fast and the Furious 6 is scheduled for a 2013 release.
