Rihanna wants to 'spank' Britney Spears in the video for their song.

The two pop superstars have teamed up for a remix of Rihanna's raunchy hit single 'S&M', and the 'Rude Boy' singer insists she wants the promo to be as racy as the track's lyrics.

Speaking on the Z100 radio station, the Barbados-born beauty said: ' hope [we do a video for the song]. I want to spank Britney!'

The original version of 'S&M' includes the lines ''Cause I may be bad, but I'm perfectly good at it/Sex in the air, I don't care, I love the smell of it/Sticks and stones may break my bones/But chains and whips excite me.'

Rihanna, 23, also revealed she has dubbed herself and 29-year-old Britney 'R&B', and admits she is thrilled to be working with the 'Hold It Against Me' singer ' whose own songs and videos are often overtly sexual.

She added: 't's very strange. Britney never does features. It was really amazing that she really wanted to be part of this song. She really liked the song to begin with, but it was a different story when she had to sing it, and she really wanted to be a part of it. It made it really special, because you never see two pop female artists doing songs together anymore. Just call us R&B.'

After deciding she wants to remix the song, Rihanna asked her fans who they wanted to feature on the track and Britney's name kept being put forward.

She said: ''S&M' - at first, we didn't know what the song was going to do because of the lyrics, but it became really big on radio. In order to do a remix, it had to be major. I asked my fans last week who they wanted me to collaborate with, and Britney was one of the most popular names.'

A release date for the remix has yet to be set.
