Rita Ora found acting in Fifty Shades of Grey "really hard".
The 23-year-old British musician makes her major film debut portraying Mia Grey in the highly anticipated movie based on E.L. James' hit erotic novel.
And she confesses moving from music to acting was way more challenging than she initially anticipated.
"I definitely had coaching, acting coaching. I have an American accent in the movie. I've got a brown bobbed wig. I look really different," Rita told MTV News.
"It was really nice to get into a whole other world that I wasn't used to, but it was pretty difficult.
"Literally on set I had the accent coaches there whispering it to me in my ear and we would shoot straight away. It was really hard."
The songstress-turned-actress also revealed fame didn't land her the part easily, as she got no "special treatment" from casting directors.
She had to try out for Mia Grey with hundreds of other actors.
"The director [Sam Taylor-Johnson] said 'Why don't you audition for Mia Grey? We don't have a part for her yet,' and I was like, 'Well, I've never done a movie before,' " Rita recalled.
"So I did, and then it goes through loads of people, the whole movie company."
But all the effort was worth it, as the star thinks audiences will be thrilled by one scintillating scene in particular.
"I can't give too much away because I'm sworn to secrecy by a whole army of Fifty Shades people, but I can say there's a really spicy scene…" the singer said.
"All I'm saying is that it's surprising, you can feel it in the air like when you rub your fingers."
Fifty Shades of Grey, which stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, will be released just before Valentine's Day in 2015.
