Rita Ora is looking forward to announcing some "very big" movie projects next year.
The British singer is making the move to the big screen with her role in upcoming movie Fifty Shades of Grey, based on the erotic novel by E.L. James. Jamie Dornan stars as the mysterious Christian Grey, while Rita is his sister Mia. She hopes this is just the start of her Hollywood career.
"Yes, definitely more roles. I haven't announced anything yet but there are a lot of projects coming out next year and they're very big so I'm really looking forward to you checking them out," she told British magazine Hello! "People have been calling a lot. I can't believe how it's just flipped [from music to acting] but for me, my focus is the album. It comes out next month and the single features someone really exciting. Basically, I've worked hard for this, so it's going to be good."
The star may be working flat out on her second record, but starring in a film has also got her creative juices flowing. She's astounded by how fun she found the whole experience; even though she previously admitted she was so nervous she couldn't always remember her lines.
Rita can't wait to shoot more flicks, although she's remaining tight-lipped about what's in the pipeline.
"Oh yeah, I have the bug for real," she enthused "For me, Fifty Shades was such a great thing to be involved in and even though it's only a little part, it's opened the door to a lot of things that are coming out with the movie, things that haven't actually been announced yet. It's going to make a lot of waves. It's going to be awesome."
Dakota Johnson stars as the female lead Anastasia Steele, who is naive but can't help being drawn to the mysterious Christian. It helped that Dakota and Rita got along very well, with the blonde singer having nothing but praise for her co-star.
"She's [Dakota is] a great friend of mine and she really eased me, and she was really nice to take care of me," Rita previously said.
