Rita Ora has admitted she vomited in complete terror twice before her Oscars performance.
The 24-year-old singer sang live at the 87th Academy Awards on February 22, 2015, performing songwriter Diane Warren's Oscar-nominated tune Grateful, which features on the Beyond the Lights soundtrack.
And her set at the event sparked sheer terror in Rita.
"I'm just shaking thinking about it," she told BBC News. "I've never been that scared in my life. I threw up twice. I was petrified. I didn't want to fall off stage."
Rita doesn't take it personally that the Best Original Song trophy was awarded to Common and John Legend for their track Glory, which was written for 2014 picture Selma.
She doesn't consider not swooping up the grand prize detrimental in the slightest.
"Everyone knew they were going to win," Rita noted. "Just being on that stage was enough for me... My Instagram followers went up by three million."
Rita has not released an album since her debut LP, Ora, hit shelves in 2012.
But that doesn't mean her new record is delayed, in fact Rita has confirmed she'll be releasing it in September.
"This whole 'album delayed' scenario is not true at all," she shared. "I didn't want to put it out because it didn't feel right. Everything I recorded wasn't good enough."
Rita was in a high-profile relationship with DJ Calvin Harris for just over a year before they split up in June 2014, and she is now coupled up with Richard 'Ricky Hil' Hilfiger.
Rita thinks her love life grabs tabloid headlines because her "relationships inspire music", but she is still convinced there's something flawed about the media.
"It's the way they focus on it which is the problem," she noted. "There's no need for judgment, or making people feel bad for their personal choices.
"If a normal 24-year-old girl was doing what I'm doing, no-one would have a problem.
"I'm just sick of women being judged and having fingers pointed at them."
