Rita Ora is annoyed she let her split from Calvin Harris affect her work.
The 24-year-old singer's relationship with Scottish DJ Calvin came to an end in June 2014 after one year together.
At the time of the pair's break up, Rita was in the middle of working on her second album.
However, she admits that the "personal issues" she was suffering from meant her work had to take a back seat.
"This whole impression that my album hasn't been an easy process is really b****cks," Rita told Digital Spy.
"It's not that it hasn't been, it's that I've put personal issues first because I'm a girl."
Both Rita and Calvin have moved on from the relationship, with the 31-year-old musician dating Taylor Swift and Rita reportedly romancing Wiz Khalifa.
Now gearing up for the release of her new album later this year, Rita is finally happy with how it sounds.
"I was distracted and got carried away and it didn't really work out," she said. 'I was affected by it so I just put everything on hold because I was a sulky 24-year-old and I was hurt. And now I'm back."
Rita and Calvin previously worked together on hit song I Will Never Let You Down.
And following their split, Calvin is said to have banned Rita from performing it at the Teen Choice Awards just a few months later.
Calvin tweeted after the story hit headlines: "You'll only know 1 side of the story RE Teen choice awards because I choose not to talk about every aspect of my personal life.
"But just know I had a damn good reason."
