Robin Gibb will be one of the performers on the National Mall in Washington for this Independence Day.
He says it makes perfect sense because he was born in Britain and the US had to declare independence from someone or there would be no holiday.
Gibb says he's also been in and out of the US since 1967 and he's owned houses in New York and in Miami Beach.
Gibb says he's paid taxes in the US for so many years he may be more American than most Americans.
Gibb says he's performing by himself but he's not trying to establish himself as a solo act. He intends to work again with his brother, Barry, but he says Barry has needed some "reflecting" time since their brother, Maurice, died last year. Gibb will perform as part of "A Capitol Fourth" special on PBS on Sunday, along with Clay Aiken, Amy Grant and Vince Gill.document.write(unescape("
