Robin Thicke wants Blurred sequel

Robin Thicke wants a follow-up to Blurred Lines.

The 37-year-old singer teamed up with Pharrell Williams and T.I. to record the hit track, which has become one of the bestselling songs of 2013.

Despite the negative reception surrounding the risqué lyrics and video, Robin would like to record a sequel.

"I would love to do it again and I'm sure we will. It's one of those catch 22s where you want to repeat that success but you don't want to mess with the first time," he told Billboard.

Robin also praised his fellow musicians and their contribution to the song.

He believes if it wasn't for their involvement the single wouldn't have been so successful, topping charts in countries all over the world.

"Pharrell is already a worldwide brand, success and incredible musician; T.I. has more top ten hits than both Pharrell and I," he added. "I was the underdog and they were there for me. They gave their all to the video and the song. I'm so grateful to them and to all the people that have enjoyed it this summer."

Having been in the industry since he was a teenager, Robin believes creativity is in his blood. He had a helping hand from his parents Gloria Loring and Alan Thicke as well as other musical family members.

"I have many generations of piano players and string players and jazz saxophonists, so there are generations of musicians," he previously explained. "It's in the blood, it's in the DNA, yeah. My mom is a musician, my dad is a musician."
