Ronnie Wood is called 'Ronik' by his girlfriend's family.
The 61-year-old Rolling Stones rocker has finally been accepted by 20-year-old Ekaterina Ivanova's relatives and they now refer to him by the affectionate pet name.
The young beauty's grandmother Lyudmila Ivanova previously called Ronnie "ugly and disgusting" but seems to have slowly come round to their relationship.
She is quoted by Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: "If it's real love, let them be happy together."
But 75-year-old Lyudmila – who lives in Kazakhstan – admits she has doubts about the longevity of the romance.
She explained: "It won't last long. She is much younger than him, so she will have a chance to find another man if something happens to Ronnie. This is the way with the modern world."
The rocker left his wife of 23-years – former model Jo Wood - last summer when he met the Russian cocktail waitress and whisked her off to Ireland for a drinking marathon.
Ekaterina recently admitted their romance had upset for both of their families.
She explained: "I don't think I deserve to feel bad. Obviously he was married, and I have my own views about that, but I have enough respect for his family not to talk about them.
"My family have been hurt too. People tell my mother her daughter is an alcoholic. My friends have been blackmailed and offered money."
