Ronnie Wood has revealed The Rolling Stones are set to perform at this year's Olympic Games.
The legendary guitarist let slip that he has been in talks with London 2012 bosses to join the line-up for the opening ceremony.
Ronnie also revealed that he could be performing with both his bands.
"We've got more meetings, everyone wants to do it. I've been asked to do the opening ceremony with the Stones and close the games with The Faces," he told British newspaper The Sun.
"I've got to be the first bi-athlete musician."
Ronnie's revelation comes a week after a representative for The Rolling Stones insisted the band would not be involved with the prestigious sporting event.
"The Rolling Stones wish to point out that they are not performing at any concerts tied to the 2012 Olympic Games," the statement read.
Iconic filmmaker Danny Boyle will direct the launch ceremony.
Many music acts have been rumoured to perform including Sir Paul McCartney and Adele.
Ronnie also revealed his busy schedule. The 64-year-old rocker says he wants to fit his music around his other projects.
"I'm busy with The Faces getting inducted into the Hall Of Fame in April and then art exhibitions this year. Then there's my Sky Arts programme, which is the radio show televised in HD," he revealed. "There's plenty of music on the table, but it's just a matter of choosing which one to go with."
