Ronnie Wood gives girlfriend £13,000 Jimi Hendrix guitar

Ronnie Wood has bought his girlfriend a £13,000 Jimi Hendrix guitar.

The 61-year-old Rolling Stones guitarist treated Ekaterina Ivanova to the vintage instrument, which was played by the late rock legend, even though she has only just started to learn.

A friend close to the 20-year-old Russian told Britain's The Sun newspaper:

"She fell in love with the guitar before Christmas, but rather than buying it while she was with him, Ronnie wanted to wait and surprise her. He loves to treat her with gifts and tokens of his affection.

"He has been spending a small fortune on her which she is more than happy to take."

Ronnie - who left Jo, his wife of 23 years, for Ekaterina - put a personal touch to the guitar by having it inscribed with both his and her initials, alongside a romantic line.

The inscription reportedly reads: "Sweet as a daisy, sweet as a pearl, you'll always be my little kitten."

Ronnie estranged wife Jo has kept a brave face since he ran away with Ekaterina to Ireland on a two-week drinking binge last summer.

Both parties have met with lawyers since the split.

A friend said of Jo's legal meeting in September: "Jo has had enough of his behaviour.

She feels humiliated, spurned and furious that her best friend has treated her like that.

"Her legal team have made it clear she is in a terrifically strong position."

Last November, Ronnie - reportedly worth £70 million - offered Jo a £3 million divorce settlement.
