The ex-Rolling Stones guitarist spoke of his new hobby in an interview with UK newspaper the Evening Standard as he revealed he now lives in a house in west London.
He said: 'It has a beautiful landscaped garden which is like a controlled jungle and it just goes with my new house.
'I'm getting stuck in and doing a bit more than just weeding. It's just great with my new-found base. The inside and outside are both right up my street. I get on very well with mastering my own space.'
Wood is rumoured to have spent somewhere in the region of £20 million on drink and drugs and said he's been clean now for 16 months which Wood claims has helped him to 'see things much clearer'.
