Ronnie Wood must rest for two months after undergoing surgery for a hernia, it has been confirmed.
The Rolling Stones' guitarist is understood to be recovering well following the operation, which took place last week.
Wood is said to have injured himself at some point during the group's lengthy recent world tour, which ran through 2006 and 2007.
A spokeswoman confirmed the surgery but said the star will be fine. "Knowing Ronnie, he'll be back on his feet sooner rather than later", she said.
The Rolling Stones completed their "Bigger Bang" global jaunt with a show at the O2 Arena in London in August.
