Roxy Music stars Bryan Ferry, Phil Manzanera and Andy Mackay are secretly working on their first studio album in 25 years.
The trio last recorded as Roxy Music for 1982's Avalon and now singer Ferry reveals he and his bandmates are back in the studio with a handful of new songs.
He tells Billboard.com, "We did some bits of recording last year. Not a great deal. I'm still writing songs. I'd like to continue with that next year, with any luck."
Roxy Music reunited in 2001 for a world tour and Ferry admits he was thrilled to discover he and his old pals could "work together again".
The smooth singer recalls, "That (tour) was a great success for us; we really liked that, and it was just great for the audience as well, who like what we do, to see a whole show of Roxy songs.
"I thought, 'Maybe we can do some more,' and I hope we can."
In the meantime, Ferry is trying to fund a U.S. tour so he can promote his new album of Bob Dylan covers there.
He explains, "It's such a terrible shame we can't get to America at the moment; we just can't afford it.
"It loses too much money, 'cause it's quite a big band, and the exchange rate being what it is... Maybe we can find a great hedge fund sponsor for a tour."document.write(unescape("
