The pair was recording in Australia when Sydney-based Russell decided to stick his head in and say hello, and wound up getting a shout-out on one of their tracks.
A source told The Sun, 'Russell went to see them at the mansion they are renting, which has a studio, and stayed for their recording session.
'Jay-Z and Kanye played him a few tracks from their new album and Russell - being a musician himself - loved it.
'He even earned himself a mention on one of their songs.
'He was buzzing about the experience afterwards.'
