Johansson - whose husband Ryan Reynolds has just filed divorce papers - has been meeting up with My So Called Life hunk Jared recently, according to celebrity columnist Frank DiGiacomo.
The columnist insists the pair were spotted together before Johansson's split from Reynolds was announced - and insists they are in regular contact by phone even when not in the same town.
'When Johansson and Reynolds were on their relationship roller coaster, Johansson and Leto hung out together here,' the New York columnist insists his sources told him.
'The two dined at Blue Ribbon in SoHo, the same restaurant where Johansson and Reynolds ate the Friday after announcing their split,' he said. 'Johansson and Leto were also spotted walking together on the lower East Side one early morning,' he said, with both sightings in October.
