Overview
Rumours began to surface earlier this year that the Hollywood pair’s relationship was on rocky ground. Scarlett and Ryan got married at a secret Canadian ceremony in September 2008.
But now the separation has been confirmed, according to TMZ.
The website says that the split is “amicable” and that the duo are living apart.
So far it is unclear if either side has filed for divorce and no reason was given by the source for the move.
It was only in June that it was reported Scarlett and Ryan were planning to renew their wedding vows.
They even wished to mark their second wedding anniversary with a special ceremony.
And they vehemently dismissed rumours they were having problems, claiming they tried to see each other every two weeks.
However, talk of unrest in the marriage became more widespread throughout the Autumn.
