Scouting For Girls entered the UK chart at Number 10 with their third album 'The Light Between Us' on 3rd September. This followed their Number 1 eponymous debut album (2007), and Number 2 second album 'Everybody Wants To Be On TV' (2010).
The first single may have been sunny, but elsewhere on the album it is littered with references to carrying on and battling for what you believe in.
One of the stand-out tracks is 'Without You'; a mature and cleverly constructed love song that is steeped in optimism about rekindling a relationship. It is a widescreen, mid-tempo arms-aloft anthem which is already a live favourite. And as with all of SFG's hits live is where they shine. Roy comes alive as a frontman, a natural born entertainer with a genuine boy next door charm who delivers his self-penned pop classics with gusto.
Stride has also cultivated a successful career as a pop writer working with One Direction, Alexandra Burke and Olly Murs to name but a few.
All in all there is more to SFG than first meets the eye, and 'Without You' is the perfect outing to illustrate the charisma and talent of one of Britain's most loved pop trios.
