Selena Gomez is unfazed by fame.
The 'Spring Breakers' star insists she was able to cope with the media frenzy that surrounded her recent split from Justin Bieber because she got used to being the subject of stories during her days as a teen star in Disney TV series 'Wizards of Waverly Place'.
In an interview with The Guardian newspaper, Selena, 20, explained: 'Luckily, I've been able to experience it all before. I grew up in one of the biggest high schools in the world - the Disney channel. I grew up with the Jonas brothers and Miley [Cyrus]. I got to experience all that at such a young age, unfortunately - or fortunately - that now it just doesn't faze me.
'At this point in my life I have really good people around me.'
While she is able to laugh off most rumours about her private life, she admits negative speculation can sometimes be hard to accept.
A recent tale that upset her was when somebody claimed she was feuding with her 'Spring Breakers' co-star Vanessa Hudgens.
Selena said: 'Vanessa walked up to me last month and told me about some rumour or online thing that claimed we were arguing. 'Selena, I guess we're fighting!', and I was like, 'Alright! Let's get into it! Put 'em up!'
'Somewhere out there is a fat, unhappy, middle-aged man at a computer wondering aloud to himself, 'Hmm, what can I say about a 20-year-old old girl to ruin her whole day?'
'It's crazy. But it's worth remembering that's it's not in any way real, either.'
