Selena Gomez has taken a jab at ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber claiming to have made the pop star cry.
The 20-year-old Spring Breakers actress taped an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman airing in the US on Monday night.
David took the opportunity to quiz her about her love life and Selena sent the live audience into a fit of snickers with her quick-witted responses.
"I remember last time you were here you were with a Justin Bieber... and that's not going on now," David commented.
Selena confirmed she was in fact back on the market. Speculation has been rife for months about the status of her on-off relationship with Justin amid reports he was desperate to win her back after their split late last year.
"No, I'm single. I'm so good," Selena responded.
"Now, the last time he was on," the funnyman continued, "he and I got into a conversation and he said something, then I said something, and he said something, then I said something and I made him cry."
Selena didn't miss a beat.
"Well then, that makes two of us," she quipped.
It marked the first time Selena has addressed the break-up.
The actress has been busy promoting her latest film Spring Breakers, which centres on the wild antics of three girls on holiday in America.
Justin has meanwhile been caught in a string of scandals since their split.
He is currently in Paris as his Believe Tour treks across Europe.
But on Monday the 19-year-old's representatives were forced to dismiss reports he was kicked out of his hotel in the French capital after local television and radio personality Jean-Marc Morandini blogged management had too much of his "attitude".
