Selena Gomez is nervous for her upcoming tour as she feels she has a "lot to prove".
The 21-year-old songstress has been in intensive rehearsals for her Stars Dance Tour, which kicks off in Vancouver, Canada, today.
At her last dress run-through in California, Selena admitted to feeling a lot of pressure ahead of the show's debut.
"I definitely have anxiety. I'm very nervous, but in the best possible way. I love being nervous. The adrenaline takes over and it just makes me want to give my all, so I'm really nervous," she told MTV News.
"This is a lot for me. I've got a lot to prove. I've got a lot to live up to, so I'm just going to try to focus on making it the best it can be."
The Stars Dance Tour will travel through the US and Europe before heading back to North America, where it ends in St. Louis on November 27.
Selena recently explained she hopes fans will be blown away by the stage show.
"I want people to feel it when they hear the beat on the song, when they see a dance move, that it encourages them to keep going," she gushed.
"I want them to non-stop dance, because that's what I grew up watching in the nose bleeds going to every Britney show just still wanting to this day to learn her dance moves because they are so epic, so that's what I'm trying to do, make it fun, original and let them have a great time."
