Selena Gomez's friends are reportedly worried she's "struggling" with being in the spotlight.
The 22-year-old star has been in the industry from a young age, landing the lead role in Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place in 2007.
Since then she has gone on to star in movies such as Spring Breakers and Rudderless, as well as releasing solo album Stars Dance. Pals apparently fear the fame is taking a toll on Selena, who was seen looking rather distressed at an event following the Oscars last month.
"Selena's behaviour after the Vanity Fait party raised a few eyebrows, and friends worry she may be struggling a bit with life in the spotlight. She's still a young girl and the showbiz world can be crazy," a source told British magazine Closer.
Selena was photographed sat on the floor outside the venue of the party, while A-list couple Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham walked confidently in front of her.
She's been open about her problems in the past and revealed she checked into The Meadows recovery centre in Arizona last year after "losing sight" of who she was.
On top of professional pressures the brunette beauty is also said to be finding it hard to come to terms with her split from Justin Bieber last year. The pair had dated on and off since 2011 and while Selena has since been linked to other people, most recently DJ Zedd, it's thought she still holds a soft spot for her former beau.
"Selena was broken hearted when things ended with Justin, and misses his support," the source added. "She is now moving on, but she's finding it hard to cut ties completely."
