Musician Selena Gomez is set to receive an award for her chart comeback at the 2015 Billboard Women in Music Awards.
The Come and Get It singer stepped away from the limelight last year (14) and recently made her music comeback with her new solo album Revival, which debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 album charts this month (15).
Her first single Good For You was also her highest charting single in the U.S. to date, and she is set to be honoured for her success with the Chart Topper prize at the ceremony.
Awards show boss Janice Min says, "In the last few months, Selena has broken onto the scene as an adult, and come into her own as an artist with the success of Revival... We want to highlight this moment for a woman who has become a role model for many, a feminist, an independent voice whose new album truly showcases her as a mature artist."
Lady Gaga is set to receive the 2015 Woman of the Year prize at the New York ceremony on 11 December (15).
Selena previously revealed she took a hiatus after she suffered with autoimmune disease lupus.
"I was diagnosed with lupus, and I've been through chemotherapy," she said. "That's what my break was really about. I could've had a stroke. I wanted so badly to say, 'You guys have no idea. I'm in chemotherapy. You're a**holes.' I locked myself away until I was confident and comfortable again."
Revival is Selena's second solo album and follows debut Stars Dance, which she released in 2013.
