Shakira wants a lawsuit filed by her ex-boyfriend to be dismissed.
The Colombian singer - who gave birth to her first son Milan Pique Mebarak in January with her 25-year-old footballer boyfriend Gerard Pique - has fired back at her former flame Antonio de la Rua, who claims he is entitled to approximately $100 million of her earnings as he acted as her manager during their 11-year relationship.
The 35-year-old 'She Wolf' singer has blasted Antonio's lawsuit, which was filed in December, as a joke because she claims he was never her manager and that she was already an international star when they met in 2000.
She also insists that even though he advised her on some business decisions, he never represented her and they never signed a contract, according to gossip website TMZ.com.
Shakira also claims the only document they ever signed was an agreement in 2006, which stated they would each keep their own assets if they ever split.
'The Voice' USA mentor, who is reportedly being paid $12 million by the series this season, wants the lawsuit to be dismissed.
The former couple released a statement announcing their split in January 2011, during which they claimed they intended to continue working together: 'Since August 2010, we made a mutual decision to take time apart from our romantic relationship. Throughout this time we have continued to work together hand in hand, have remained close and have kept the details absolutely private until now.
'We view this period of separation as temporary and as a time of individual growth as we continue to be partners in our business and professional lives. Antonio continues to oversee and conduct my business and career interests as he has always done. We move forward as partners, developing projects together, working hand in hand and in close communication. Our friendship and understanding of one another is unwavering and indestructible.'
