Shakira has joked she'll breastfeed her son "until he goes to college".
The 36-year-old star opened up about how much she adores bonding time spent with her four-month-old baby, Milan.
Her favourite thing about motherhood isn't cuddles or kisses, but breastfeeding her tot.
"Breastfeeding has been one of the best experiences of my life," she gushed to Us Weekly. "I love it! I can't stop! I think I'm going to breastfeed him until he goes to college! I'm hooked!"
The first-time mom says breastfeeding helped her drop the baby weight fast. The svelte star noted that she's not at her goal weight just yet, but hopes to reach it soon.
"I think that it helps a lot," she said.
"I haven't weighed myself… I think I'm close but I can't sing victory yet!"
The Voice mentor surprised herself with how easily she's taken to motherhood. Having a baby has chilled her out, and made her a calmer person to be around.
"I thought I was going to be super-controlling because I am like that with my songs, my career and everything I do professionally - I like to be in charge. But with him, I'm so relaxed," she shared. "It's so surprising because everybody thought I was going to be one of those hysterical mothers, like smothering mothers, and I feel that I'm not as nervous. I'm relaxed."
Shakira's boyfriend and dad to Milan, is soccer hunk Gerard Piqué. She has penned a track dedicated to her little family, although it won't be anything she'll release to the public. But the chart topper promised fans she hasn't given up on music for them, despite having her hands full at home.
"I did write a song for him the day I was going to deliver him. But it's just for us!" she exclaimed.
"I've recorded some stuff, but I'm halfway there. I don't know exactly what I've got because I make so many songs and some of them might make it and some of them won't. I'm just searching and writing about pretty much anything that comes to my mind and just letting myself be, without putting too much limits."
