Andrew Davis hosted a £500,000 party at Cliveden for Dame Shirley Bassey's belated 70th birthday last night.
The legendary singer actually reached the milestone in January but they jointly decided to invite their top 500 guests to last nights bash in Berkshire.
Despite celebrating her own birthday, Dame Shirley Bassey could not resist singing 'Happy Birthday' to herself and to her guests, before cutting her four-tiered red birthday cake designed by cake-maker-to-the-stars Eric Lanlard.
Andrew Davis, owner and chairman of the von Essen collection of luxury hotels, helicopters and jets, commented, 'I enjoyed treating our guests and Dame Shirley Bassey to a memorable night at Cliveden. 2007 has been a very successful year and we look forward to 2008 with excitement!'
