Icelandic post-rock icons Sigur Ros will stream their new album globally on May 17 for 'Valtari Hour'.
The band has been sneaking out typically atmospheric and ethereal songs from their sixth full-length album Valtari. Now fans can hear the whole thing in its entirety this Thursday 17 May during 'Valtari Hour' which happens at 7pm internationally.
Their website www.sigur-ros.co.uk will have a special platform that will broadcast the album at 7pm in your timezone, as well as the album airing on certain radio stations and in record stores, making for 24 hours of Valtari (and meaning Australians will be one of the first nations to hear all eight tracks in full).
Also, tweets with the #valtarihour hashtag, as well as fan comments, will appear on a special page of their site all day and night.
Valtari will be released through EMI in Australia on May 25.
