Sleater-Kinney returned to the concert stage on Sunday night with a show at the Knitting Factory in Spokane, WA.
The band was together from 1994 to 2006 when they announced an indefinite hiatus. Over the next eight years, Carrie Brownstein formed Wild Flag and worked on her budding acting career with film and the series Portlandia. Janet Weiss spent some time with Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks before releasing a solo album while Corin Tucker also released a solo effort.
In October of last year, the band announced that they had recording a new album, No Cities to Love, which was released on January 20. Over the course of the evening, they performed eight of the albums ten tracks, skipping only Hey Darling and Fade.
As for the rest of their set, they performed four songs each from Dig Me Out (1997) and The Woods (2005) but largely ignored their early career, totally skipping their debut album and doing only one song from the followup, Call the Doctor.
