SNOOP DOGG has teamed up with famed astronaut BUZZ ALDRIN to give the moon hero's new song an out-of-this world hip-hop twist.
Aldrin, the second person to step foot on the moon in 1969 after Neil Armstrong, has recorded the track Rocket Experience with the raper as his guest.
The retired space explorer, 79, aims to boost interest in space and science with the tune - and Snoop Dogg is ecstatic to be involved in the project, according to AllHipHop.com.
He said: "I want kids interested in space. It's their future. (Aldrin) pushes kids to achieve their dreams."
And the Drop It Like It's Hot hitmaker insists there's nothing unusual about the collaboration.
He added: "Buzz has got the biggest buzz on the streets right now. He's got Talib Kweli and (me) in the studio with him, and I only work with the best."
The single has been released on iTunes.com and profits from the song will benefit three charities, including Aldrin's ShareSpace Foundation.
