Sons And Daughters, Glasgow's brightest new stars, will be joining fellow Scots Idlewild on their UK tour in April. The 21-date tour will culminate in three dates in Scotland and includes a show at London's Shepherds Bush Empire on April 13th.

The Glasgow based quartet's debut (mini) album 2004's Love The Cup, and their incendiary live shows, have already won the band plaudits across the globe. The band are currently recording the follow up to Love The Cup at Conny Plank's studio in Cologne, the fêted German studio whose output has included seminal works by the likes of Kraftwerk, Brian Eno and Can. Victor Van Vugt (Nick Cave/PJ Harvey/Kylie Minogue) will be taking up production duties.
The first single from the as yet untitled album is due for release in May. Dance Me In, already a highlight of Sons And Daughters live set, was produced by ex-Orange Juice front man and legendary fellow Scot Edwyn Collins. Full details and release date will be announced shortly.
Meanwhile Sons And Daughters will join Hope Of The States, The Bravery and Willy Mason at the Astoria on Feburary 15th for the third in the NME's series of Brats shows.
