With their sublime 6th LP 'Double Bubble' due for release on 28th July, the incomparable Stereo MCs have lined up a very special one off show at the infamous Hoxton Bar & Grill in Shoreditch on the 16th July, kicking off a whirlwind summer of festival appearances and Europe and UK tours.
One of the UK's most instantly recognisable and iconic bands, the groundbreaking duo that are Rob Birch and Nick Hallam, have lined up-and-coming act Real Heat, a trio of sisters who are already making waves in South London, to support them for an evening of high-octane funk. As well as manning the decks, Nick & Rob will be performing a full live set with their band that will feature new material drawn from 'Double Bubble' plus a generous helping of some of their cherished classics. And just to add an extra special touch every one in the audience will be given a free copy of the band's 'Live In Europe 08' CD. Recorded in Germany earlier this year, the album features 8 tracks, 4 brand new songs and 4 classics that will whet the appetite for the new album.
Unquestionably a Stereo MCs record, Double Bubble is a throbbing return to their visceral roots that will ensure that July 16th is an explosive spectacle from one of dance music's most treasured bands. A rare chance to capture their award winning live act in intimate surrounds, this is a gig definitely not to miss.
