Stuart Cable, the former drummer for the Stereophonics, choked to death on his own vomit, according to the coroner's report.
The report describes Cable's final days as consisting of a three day drinking session. He supposedly had Chinese takeaway before continuing drinking and fell asleep on the floor at his home where he was left by his partner and a friend.
Corner Peter Maddox said that large amounts of food was found in the drummer's respiratory system, which was the result of vomiting from acute alcohol poisoning.
At the time of his death, his friends said he had choked on his own vomit, but it has taken this long to confirm.
Cable died in Llwydcoed, Wales on June 7, 2010, shortly after his 40th birthday.
He was a founding member of The Stereophonics and recorded four albums with the band, the last being 2003's 'You Gotta Go There To Come Back'. He was sacked from the band in 2003 and replaced by Argentinean born Javier Weyler.
