System Of A Down are releasing a two-CD set and the discs will come out six months apart. The new album will be titled 'Hypnotize/Mesmerize.'
'Hypnotize' will come out in early spring, while 'Mesmerize' will come out late summer or early fall. Guitarist Daron Malakian says in a statement they focused on making every track the best it could be and they did not intend to make a double album. He says they realized they couldn't pick the best 14 songs, so that's when they realized they had two albums' worth of material.
So why issue the albums six months apart? The band hopes that fans will be able to hear and live with the music from the first album before plunging into the second.document.write(unescape("
