Take That, the UK's most successful live act ever, confirmed today that they are heading back out on the road in 2015.
Four years since the band's last record-breaking tour Progress Live, next April will see Mark Owen, Gary Barlow and Howard Donald commence a 24-date UK tour. Rumour has been rife about when Take That would be announcing their next tour since they officially unveiled the details of their new album 'III'.
Take That are defined by some of the most memorable and spectacular live productions in UK music history and their fans can now look forward to 24 magical nights in eight cities. Previous tours have included everything from aerialists, circus performers, a wall of water, holograms, a giant elephant and on the last tour a 60ft robot. The band's shows have never failed to excite and surprise their audience and next year's are sure to be no exception.
"We've always been very proud of our live shows and are very excited to be touring again next year. Playing live is something we love the most about what we do and we're looking forward to putting on the most amazing show we can. It will have been four years since our last tour so we're really keen to get back out on the road to play some of our biggest songs from the last twenty years alongside our new ones. We hope to see you there!" - Take That
Special Guest for the duration of the tour will be rising star Ella Henderson who recently celebrated both her debut single, 'Glow' and her first album, 'Chapter One', reaching the No.1 spot in the UK Charts.
Fans first heard the news of the new tour on Saturday night at 9.15pm via a TV Ad broadcast on ITV during the X Factor.
Tickets go on sale on Thursday 13th November at 9am.
On December 1st, Take That release their seventh studio album 'III' with the first single 'These Days' released on the November 23rd. Both chart another poignant moment in the band's incredible history as the first time Take That have written and recorded as a three. The last time Take That released an album was in 2010, when they were a five piece: Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange, Mark Owen and Robbie Williams.
Take That have had eight Number One albums, 15 Number One singles, sold over 30 million albums, won six Ivor Novellos, eight BRITs and sold over seven million concert tickets.
