The chart-toppers, who recently welcomed Robbie Williams back into their line-up, will perform together at the awards for the first time in 16 years.
Plan B will also take to the stage at the event on February 15.
2011 Brit Awards organisers have announced the first pair of performers as votes are being cast by music industry figures and artists to decide who will win prizes.
The event has been moved from its usual location at Earl's Court in west London to the O2 Arena in south east London.
The shortlist is set to be announced on January 13.
