The 1975 were forced to halt their secret set at Glastonbury yesterday after a can was thrown at them during their performance.
In distinctly non Glastonbury vibes, NME reported a fight broke out at the William Green tent while the band were playing on the Thursday night of the festival (26 June, 2014). This culminated with a can being thrown at the stage and front man Matthew Healy pulling the plug on proceedings shortly after 8:15pm.
"Ladies and gentleman I'm sorry to disrupt your peaceful Glastonbury but someone just threw a can onstage," said Healy. "I won't have people fighting at my Glastonbury." He then added "Ladies and gentleman we have to hurry it up as we have a very special guest up next...it's not Dolly Parton...or Metallica...", before Metronomy came on stage.
Meanwhile Glastonbury gets underway properly today with the Pyramid Stage kicking off with an opening set from the Kaiser Chiefs. This years headliners are Arcade Fire, Metallica and Kasabian.
