The Beatles have sold more than two million download songs and 450,000 albums since their back catalogue was made available on iTunes last week (November 16).
The best-selling album by the band was 'Abbey Road', and best-selling song was 'Here Comes The Sun' in the US, according to initial figures released to Billboard.com.
All 13 of their albums along with their officially released compilations plus assorted live footage were added to the download service last Tuesday (November 16). It marked the first time their music has been legally available to download.
The deal ended a dispute between iTunes' parent company Apple Inc, The Beatles' Apple Corps and their record label EMI. The two Apple companies have traded lawsuits over each other's brand name and logo use since 1978.
