U2's the Edge is to perform the 'Batman' theme tune for the new series of the caped crusader's adventures.
The guitarist will record the track for the Dark Knight's new run on TV, which is due to hit screens this autumn.
However, it will not be the first time The Edge has gone into the studio for 'Batman'. U2 recorded 'Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me' for 1995's 'Batman Forever' soundtrack.
Steve Lillywhite is set to produce U2's latest album, with work due to begin next week.
The as-yet untitled follow-up to 2000's 'All That You Can't Leave Behind' will be released later this year and will be the first time in 20 years Lillywhite has 'done everything' on one of the band's records.
