U2 guitarist The Edge surprised fans at Glastonbury this weekend by jumping up with Muse to cover 'Where The Streets Have No Name'.
The performance happened during the band's encore with guitarist Matt Bellamy saying "This is our friend The Edge."
The appearance was a welcome one with many U2 fans ending up disappointed when the band was forced to cancel their scheduled Glastonbury appearance last Friday thanks to Bono being house bound after an operation on his back.
Gorillaz were brought in to replace U2 and by all accounts delivered a spectacular show featuring almost every guest from their album 'Plastic Beach' including Snoop Dogg, Bobby Womack, De La Soul and Lou Reed, although Snoop did not appear on 'Welcome To The World Of The Plastic Beach', rather choosing to take the raps on the band's first hit 'Clint Eastwood'.
The star studded performances didn't stop there, with Kylie Minogue making her Glastonbury debut with The Scissor Sisters.
