Buzzin Fly celebrates four years at the heart of the UK dance scene on Friday June 22 with the BUZZIN FLY 4TH BIRTHDAY at its now familiar seasonal home, The End, in Central London.
Regular cheerleaders for the labels unique sound of rich melodic deep house threaded with warm techno, alt-trance and electro-soul are now wide and varied ranging from key tastemakers such as Laurent Garnier, Zabiela and Fanciulli, Layo and Danny Howells through to more off-peak spinners like Rob Da Bank, Tom Middleton and Peter Kruder.
In keeping with their quarterly events, Buzzin Fly takes over both rooms for the night mixing label artists with special guests. In the main room, head honcho Ben Watt is joined by Helsinki-via-Berlins Sasse, guru at Berlins Moodmusic, who, with Brooklyns Nick Chacona, has recently joined the label roster under the guise of The Green Men, and London resident Chris Woodward. In the lounge the ace Nick
Luscombe from Flo-Motion reprises the super-popular eclecticism of his last set for the label before handing over to Londons seminal pace-setter Trevor Jackson for a main peaktime set with a remit to spin whatever he likes.
A positively adventurous line-up for one of the UKs most forward-looking house labels, and a chance to spin selections from Ben Watts new five-star label compilation, Buzzin Fly Vol 4 (Comp Of The Month 5/5 - Mixmag. The highlights here are too numerous to mention - Blowback. Stone-wall future classics - iDJ), which is stuffed to capacity with home-grown exclusives and new signings.
