Following their triumphant return to the UK at their incredible sold out show at KOKO (Don't just take our word for it - check out this amazing live review from The Guardian!) and their stirling performances at this years Reading and Leeds Festivals - The Gaslight Anthem are excited to announce their new single "Here Comes My Man" - out October 29th.
A huge fan and media favourite taken from their acclaimed top 3 album "Handwritten" which was released on July 23rd on Mercury Records. The video, directed by long time Gaslight collaborator, Kevin Slack and co directed by the bands Benny Horowitz, features Canadian actress, Elisha Cuthbert (From the huge TV show, 24).
"Handwritten" - The Gaslight Anthem's first album on Mercury Records, was produced by two-time Grammy Award®-winner Brendan O'Brien, known for his work with Bruce Springsteen (Best Rock Album Grammy, 2002), Pearl Jam, Incubus and many others. The result is the most committed, affecting and compelling album of The Gaslight Anthem's career to date. Introduced by muscular lead-off single "45", it finds the Jersey boys in inspired form, decanting '60's soul, '70's stadium rock, '80s hardcore and '90's grunge into eleven white-knuckle, blue-collar everyman anthems. Brian Fallon likens its incandescent electrical storms to "Tom Petty songs [being] played by Pearl Jam". Put more simply, it's a supercharged American rock 'n' roll classic.
Prior to "Handwritten", The Gaslight Anthem – Brian Fallon (lead vocals, guitar), Alex Rosamilia (guitar, vocals), Alex Levine (bass, vocals), and Benny Horowitz (drums, percussion) – released three full-length indie albums: Sink Or Swim (2007, XOXO Records), The '59 Sound (2008, SideOneDummy Records), and American Slang (June 2010, SideOneDummy).
