Australian indie legends The Go-Betweens are to release a new album in April.
The band were formed in 1978 by Forster and McLennan in Brisbane, Australia. They released six critically acclaimed album in the Eighties but commercial success eluded them and they split up in 1989.
After acts such as Belle And Sebastian and Coldplay cited the band as a huge influence, Forster and McLennan revived the name in 2000 and they have released two albums since then, the most recent being 2003's 'Bright Yellow Bright Orange'.
And now they have confirmed the follow-up will be called 'Oceans Apart' and is out on April 25. The record was recorded in London in late 2004.
The tracklisting is:
'Here Comes A City'
'Finding You'
'Born To A Family'
'No Reason To Cry'
'Boundary Rider'
'Darlinghurst Nights'
'Lavender'
'Statue'
'This Night's For You'
'Mountains Near Delray'
There will also be a special edition of the album available featuring a bonus disc containing the following live tracks, recorded live at the Barbican Theatre in London in June 2004.
The band play UK shows to promote the album, calling at:
Brighton Concorde 2 (May 9)
