The Holloways new single

The Holloways will be raising the heat on climate change this June by supporting Friends of the Earth's Big Ask campaign.

Inspired by the Cliff Richard film, the UK 'Summer Holloways' tour will be pulling up at some of the UK's best loved seaside destinations – which the band hope will encourage fans to holiday in Britain rather than flying overseas.

The band got the idea for their Summer Holloways tour from being on the road as Alfie explains:
"We do love to be beside the seaside. Whenever we're on the road and near the coast we head for the nearest beach and hit the amusements arcades. We wanted to do a tour that promoted tourism within the UK and to encourage our fans to back Friends of the Earth's Big Ask climate campaign."

Friends of the Earth's Director, Tony Juniper, said:

The tour is set to coincide with the much anticipated seasonal re-release of 'Generator'. The single won the band an army of fans upon its first release last year and made its way into many critics end of year polls including NME's top 20 tracks of the year. 'Generator' will be in stores June 11th.

The Holloways have spent the best part of the last 18th months on the road supporting the likes of Babyshambles and The Kooks as well as their own sold out headline dates and are currently on tour supporting The Rakes. The tour starts June 1st in Bournemouth and ends June 7th in Cleethorpes. There will be a series of warm up dates at the end of May prior to the Summer Holloways tour.
