Glasgow Summer Sessions, Scotland's only annual outdoor city music festival, will return to Bellahouston Park this August with another string of big name concerts.
US superstars, The Killers were unveiled tonight (Tuesday 22nd April, 2014) as the first headline act. They will perform at Bellahouston Park on Tuesday 19th August, 2014. The band will be joined by the mighty Courteeners and Miles Kane on the bill.
Tickets go on sale this Friday 25th April, 2014 at 9am via www.gigsinscotland.com or by calling 08444 999 990. A presale will also be available on Wednesday 24th April at 9am.
Over the last ten years, The Killers have grown to become one of the biggest bands in the world. Selling over 20 million albums, with each of their four studio albums topping the UK charts, they've amassed a collection of Brit, NME, Q and MTV awards along the way. From Vegas bellhops to T in the Park headliners, they have earned their reputation as one of the world's finest live bands and fans can expect to hear favourite tracks including Mr Brightside, When You Were Young, Human, Runaways and All These Things That I've Done.
In 2013, Glasgow Summer Sessions attracted international stars including Eminem, Tinie Tempah, Avicci and Kings Of Leon, selling more than 100,000 tickets, attracting thousands of visitors to the city and providing a massive boost to the local economy.
Bus packages will be available in conjunction with Citylink from all major cities in Scotland and the North of England direct to Bellahouston Park. They'll be on sale alongside event tickets from 0871 266 33 33* and www.citylink.co.uk
Additionally, a shuttle bus service will be available on the day of the event making return journeys from Buchanan Street Bus Station to Bellahouston Park. The fare will be payable upon boarding.
